Time To Make a Decision

With the Democratic Race for the Presidency coming to a close in a few short weeks, the Democratic Party needs to make a decision. Not the obvious one with regard to who will the candidate be, but more importantly "does the Democratic Party want to win the White House"? I believe the second question is more relevant and poignant because if you cannot win the election than you have lost the political war. One of these two people must take the high road and put the good of the country before and ahead of their own personal gain.
Both of the candidates have demonstrated their desire to lead our country. They each have the integrity to move our country forward in a direction of reconciliation and unity. It is therefore time for the "leader" of the Democratic Party to step forward and demonstrate leadership.

Is Anyone Begun To Worry???? Dorothy Where is Kansas

Today I am making a slight detour. If you haven't heard yet the price of a barrel of oil exceeded $120 today. As for me I am beginning to get just a little worried about this whole affair. We are fighting a war on the other side of the world that the majority of us are against. There are countless millions of people going hungry tonight, yes even in the United States and jobless figures continue to climb.
When are we going to stand up and say enough is enough.? And even if we do, what in the hell could we do to change anything.
First, we can look at our owe situation and see what we can do ourselves to make positive changes immediately in our own lives. Second, we can began to express in a articulate manner our concern to those who are in a position to make changes that will impact us at home and abroad. Thirdly, we can vote...and I do mean vote.
Nothing will get done unless each one of us begins to take charge of the small things that we control. My Dad always said, "If you can't control it, don't worry about it." Well I am worried and for those things I do control, and for all of us, it is time to take charge and make positive changes that will make a difference.

Staying Committed

Writing a blog is much like marriage, if your going to do it, do it right. I have previously apologized to anyone who has taken time to read these that I must be a better writer and more consistent in my daily blogs. Here's and idea, why don't we not call them blogs. Maybe sometime like a periodic writing of no particular importance that appears on an irregular basis. (PWNPIIB)
What I would like to say to anyone who does read this is THANK YOU. I have tried in these few short paragraphs to give you an idea of purpose. What purpose may you ask? The purpose of helping others. Not just in remembering your mothers birthday, but civility to others. The act of using logic rather than impulse, saying something nice rather than using words that hurt and condemn. If you have not been successful in the past few days being civil, you may try tomorrow. It is never too late.
Have you been civil today?

How can the act of helping someone not be both right and correct?

The problem with this statement is that is goes against logic. And what is logic but reason that is based on a sequence of facts or events when taken as a whole and based on our past experience we conclude to be true. So how in the world can we argue that when we help someone we have done not only a good deed, but the deed is both right and correct.

Is the act of giving a less fortunate person some change the right thing to do? Or would it be more correct to give that person the opportunity to earn for themselves?

It can be a hard decision. The first choice is simple and does not cause the giver to take accountability, while the second places the giver in a position of both acceptance for the sake of the receiver and accountability to any other person in a like situation. So is it better to be "Right or Correct"?

Whatever happened to Sunday and Monday???

Sometimes we get to bogged down in our own stuff to realize that we forgot about those around us. I guess that is what you could say happened to me in the past two days. My apology.
So what happened to Sunday and Monday. It has forever been suggested in our society that Sunday is a day of rest. For some that maybe a religious reason and for others it just sounds good. And with Monday backing right up next to Sunday, why not make Monday an extension of Sunday.
Isn't this what we do with just about everything. We extend the things that are easy or make us happy yet we want to cut short everything that does not fit into our nice little "scheduled" world. That is what makes us human, as much as we are different we are also very much alike when it comes to the areas that make us comfortable.
So again I ask, what happened to Sunday and Monday. Probably nothing to important. Maybe I was just being a little human and extending my day of comfort.

Saturday...My day to!!!!!

Saturday that day of the week we all wait anxiously for but when it gets here what do we do first, sleep. Why do so many of us just want to sleep our Saturday away. What about all of those things we meant to do during the week but could not find time for or those things we need to complete before the next week begins. Ok, all of you plodders out there, time to get up and get to work.
I know that sounds just a bit to obnoxious so how about we just get that first cup of coffee have a nice little talk with our better half and then get off of our lazy little butts and get going.
Have a great Saturday all of you go getters.

Small Things Really Count

Everyday we all take for granted the small things around us. The cordial hello of someone you pass on the street. The usual good bye kiss of a loved one. The happiness your pet gives you when you return home at the end of the day. Each one of them small but when you add them up at the end of the day, you have a whole bushel basket of "small things that really count."

Wouldn't it be nice to give someone a small thing today.

Have a great day.

Confussed and Not Sure Which Way To Go

We all have those moments in life when we ask ourselves, which way should I go? Do I take the direction that is easiest, do I take the road less traveled, do I just do nothing and stay home or should I take a chance and go somewhere where I have not been before.
As easy as it may be for some, I am having difficulty with a new change of direction. What makes this more difficult is the need for "a" change but the lack of possibilities in the market place. What should I do? How desperate does one have to be before change is nothing more than the simple act of taking a breathe?
Change the delima of existance or the chain of desperation.
How do you feel about change?
